Tai’ Chi Gung, originally developed 3,300 years ago by the first Lama Boganathar, comprises a series of gentle movements aimed at promoting the flow of vital life force, known as Chi, throughout the body.
Boganathar, also known to the world as Lao Tzu, was a master of four distinct yoga disciplines: Japa/Mantra yoga, Hatha yoga, Kundalini yoga, and Pranayama yoga. However, he felt that something was missing from his practice. Seeking answers in nature, he spent over 50 years learning how to harness and direct the life force, Chi, in a way that fosters healing and regeneration within the body.
His expertise became so renowned that he was eventually called upon to assist Emperor Chen, who was suffering from what we now believe to be a neuromuscular disease. By adapting the standing exercises to suit Emperor Chen's needs, Lao Tzu managed to extend the young emperor's life by another 20-30 years.
Upon Emperor Chen’s passing, Lao Tzu journeyed to Darchen, Tibet, where he found 12 dedicated students to whom he imparted these profound techniques. These individuals became the inaugural 12 Master Lamas and founded the Lamasery around 1,300 BC.
The teachings of Tai’ Chi Gung have been passed down from master to student in an unbroken lineage ever since. In its essence, this regenerative system yields increased health, vitality, inner peace, and an overall sense of well-being.

About Fabio
Fabio Fabbri left Italy to travel the world. Over twelve years, the many cultures and people he encountered fostered in him a great respect for individuality as well as for the ancient traditions.
Along the way, he discovered Yoga, dedicating himself to the practice, and also found his life partner Natalia, herself a psychotherapist, meditation teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner.
Together they formed Saffron Rose Yoga and Meditation, and between them have taught many hundreds of students both in Australia and worldwide, lectured at Nature Care College, as well as at Yoga Teacher Training programs on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Fabio's personal approach ‘on the mat’ is a combination of classical Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa, where movement meets breath to create a flowing meditation.
He has become particularly passionate about the principles and practices that take place ‘off the mat’ but that he believes are essential for a more authentic way of life. His main goal as a teacher is to increase people self-awareness, allowing their experience of Yoga to be extended into their daily life.
About the Yoga Classes:
Fabio teaches Yoga in a very traditional way, focusing on the care for each individual and with consideration to the anatomy and physiology as well as the deeper energetics of their system. In line with the ancient teachings, all classes are Hatha Yoga, meaning they involve some Asana (poses) both dynamic and static, Breath work (applied to the poses and some Pranayama as regulation of the breath as a stand alone practice), and some Relaxation and/or Meditation time. All classes are tailored to the students who are in the room at the time of teaching, meaning that we prioritise the meeting of the students’ needs over the “style” or the label of the class. However, we do try to infuse the classes with respect of the elements and seasons we are working with. Classes are open to anyone as variations of the practices and techniques are given to allow different level of experience and health to participate at their optimum.
